Colleen Meade - Christmas Cards and Letters
|
|
|
Each year, I send out a Christmas card that I make myself. These
days, it usually contains two photographs - one on the front
of something 'Christmas-y' and one on the inside of Kathleen.
Years ago, the front was occasionally something different -
a lino print, a cedar branch, a watercolor, etc. - but I doubt
that I'll ever scan in the cards from that far back.
|
Usually the card also includes a letter - one of those cheery,
'chirpy' little (or, in my case, not so little) things that
people love to hate - except for the cards sent to people
whom we saw really frequently or those whom we didn't know well
enough to think that they'd care for the details of what we'd
been up to during the year.

The table below goes backwards in time from this year (2001),
showing the photograph from the front of the card, the photo
from the inside of the card and an icon to represent the letter
that may have been enclosed (plus another link to a more
'printer-friendly' version of the letter). The last few year's
cards have a couple of 'extra' photos - 'alternate' pictures
for those people who don't really know Kathleen. The first one
is for the people I still stay in touch with from my photography
workshop a few years ago and the second is for those who only
know us through our cats (the SPCA, the vets, the pet store,
etc.)

letter for that year:
